Who is IPAM

What is IPAM?

IPAM is a global platform that brings together adaptation experts to determine how metrics can best inform and drive climate adaptation action.

Mission and objectives

Four ways IPAM moves adaptation metrics forward

Co-design of metrics

Facilitate the co-design of metrics through dedicated work groups.

Finance & policy instruments

Develop approaches, instruments, tools and facilities for the effective finance and policy making for climate adaptation.

Connecting the community

Connect experts, practitioners and decision-makers through the organization of events.

Capacity & data

Promote capacity building, research exchange and data enhancement, clustering and analysis.

Why IPAM is different

Why IPAM is different from other adaptation initiatives

IPAM's difference lies in who's in the room and how long it stays there — individual experts from academia, civil society, and international institutions joining in a personal capacity rather than as official representatives, in a neutral network that stays engaged well beyond any single COP cycle.
